With the TD 512, ECLIPSE introduced a unique "authentic waveform reproduction" acclaimed by internationally-renowned artists and by the audio media. Using specially selected materials we can now offer an improvement; which gives even greater attention to "authentic waveform" detail. This represents a quantum leap affording optimum balance between sound quality and value.

Authentic Waveform Reproduction

With approximately 10% reduction in unit vibrational mass and approximately 20% increase in the magnetic flux density, the new TD 712z includes a higher-speed drive-unit. The new zinc diffusion stay has three times the specific gravity of aluminium, allowing for a rise in the damping performance of vibrations from its drive-unit. In addition, the spike-on insulator, which supports the base, minimises residual vibration through point contact with installation position. As a result impulse response has improved by approximately 10% and reproduction has increased to 20 kHz. This level of reproduction is realised without having to rely on tweeter resonance.
